Our Mission

The mission of Aksaray University Faculty of Theology is to train competent theologians who comprehend the deep-rooted heritage of Islamic sciences through engagement with its primary sources, who are able to interpret this accumulated knowledge through contemporary scientific methods and critical thinking, who embrace universal ethical values, and who are equipped to conduct research and provide guidance to society. It is furthermore our mission to lead the dissemination of reliable religious knowledge at both the national and global levels through the original academic scholarship we produce.

Our vision is to become a leading and exemplary Faculty of Theology that is recognized as an international point of reference through the high-quality, interdisciplinary research it conducts in the fields of basic Islamic sciences, philosophy and religious studies, and Islamic history, a faculty that shapes the religious, ethical, and cultural development of society.
